We all have the same 24 hours in a day. And we have to decide what we want to do with it. And you can either consciously make that decision yourself, drift aimlessly, or you can let others make your decisions for you. Because if you don’t have a plan, if you don’t set your priorities, everything and everyone else around you will gladly set your agenda.
So take a moment and make a list of your values. What’s important to you? Family? Health? Hard work?
Then look at what you do everyday. Are your values a priority? Are your values reflected in your daily agenda?
We often -say- something is important but, in reality, we don’t actually invest the time to show that we mean what we say. So be honest with yourself …. Do you schedule time for what you say is important? Or do you just hope it kind of “happens” like magic? Or are you getting sidetracked by your own lack of focus or other people’s agendas?
It happens, even to those of us who have the best of intentions. Don’t beat yourself up. Just do something about it. Make a lunch date with your kiddos and turn off your phone. Schedule a date night with your honey and act like you’re still courting. Call a friend who you miss. Make a to-do list for that brilliant entrepreneurial idea you had but didn’t follow up on.
Rediscover what’s important to you!
Stop. Reflect. Adjust. Make a conscious decision to live your life prioritizing what really matters.
